BIOS:
John Wilkinson John is the developer and
managing partner of Bin to Bottle Winery. In 2005, he
identified a need for a service minded, custom crush only
winery and found partners who had the same sensibilities.
John's focus on service and client's needs comes from his tenure in
the hotel industry and his education at Cornell University's
Hotel School. John was an integral part of the team that
developed the small Ultra-luxury hotels Campton Place in San
Francisco and Checkers in downtown Los Angeles. John also
worked for Montgomery Realty Investors in the research and
acquisitions department acquiring hotels for their many real estate
partnership funds. John performed feasibility studies and
valuations for hotels, restaurants, casinos and ski areas throughout
the West for Laventhol & Horwath a multinational accounting
firm. John was also the Director of Real Estate for the
Sharper Image and successfully located and negotiated the leases for
the Sharper Image's first 30 stores. He holds a Bachelor
of Science degree from Cornell University's School of Hotel
Administration. John also owns Total Adventures & Total
Rebound; 20 year old nationally recognized corporate team building
and corporate entertainment service companies. John also makes
his own wine from fruit off his ranch in the Oak Knoll District of
Napa Valley. Wilkinson Family Vineyards is a Napa Valley Red
Wine consisting primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
Only 150 cases per year are
produced. Marco
DiGiulio Marco was born and raised in San
Francisco, California, shortly after his parents had emigrated
from Tuscany and become successful Bay Area restaurateurs. Along
with wonderful Italian meals, wine was an everyday part
of their North Beach household life. As a result, Marco
inherited his family's appreciation for great wine and
food. Marco developed an in-depth knowledge of
winemaking and viticulture through education and experience in the
industry. He graduated with a degree in Fermentation Science
from the University of California at Davis in 1985. After two
years at Buena Vista Winery, Marco worked as cellar master at
Pine Ridge Winery for more than four years. His next stint was
as the production manager for Atlas Peak Vineyards, followed
by his 1994 appointment as winemaker for Pezzi King Vineyards.
Just before the 1995 harvest, he became the winemaker at Pepi
Winery in Oakville. While making Pepi Wines, he also took
charge of the Lokoya brand after the death of celebrated winemaker
and mentor Greg Upton. It was at Lokoya that Marco's reputation
for making world class Cabernet Sauvignon was first
established. Now, as a wine industry veteran, Marco
has been able to turn his attention to consulting for a
handful of wineries in the North Coast region. His list of
clients includes both well established and new wineries
such as Black Coyote, Bounty Hunter,
Girard, Liquid Sky, Shannon Ridge, Robert
Pecota Winery, Lookout Ridge, Hidden Ridge, and Spence
Vineyards, as well as some new projects in
development. His wealth of experience and love of winemaking
enables him to craft the finest wines from the rugged landscape
that provides his inspiration.
Mike McLoughlin Mike McLoughlin brings
more than 17 years of experience in the wine industry to Bin to
Bottle. He has worked in production, sales, marketing and
winery management. His career in the wine business began in 1991
at a small Chardonnay winery in Napa called Costello
Vineyards. Putting away his corporate tie, he donned blue
jeans and jumped right into winemaking. He never dreamed about
filling wine barrels, cleaning tanks or driving a tractor through
the vineyard when laboring in the pits on the floor of the Pacific
Stock Exchange. He also never looked back as he moved from
Costello Vineyards to William Hill Winery and then to Whitehall Lane
Winery. At Whitehall Lane he has handled sales, marketing and
production and is currently responsible for all of the above as
General Manager. Prior to working at Napa Valley wineries, Mike
was an Options Floor Broker at the Pacific Stock Exchange in San
Francisco. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the
University of California at Berkeley. Patrick
Roney In addition to Pat’s involvement with Bin to
Bottle, Pat is an active Partner in several other wine related
ventures, including Girard Winery,
Windsor Vineyards, Napa Valley Specialty Wines and
“Put A Cork In It” a
mobile bottling line. Pat has also been actively involved with the
development of Dean & DeLuca where he has served as Chief
Executive Officer and still sits on the Board of Directors. Pat has
also served previously as President of Chateau St Jean and Kunde
Estate Winery. Prior to that he was the Executive Vice President of
Marketing for Christian Brothers and spent eight years with the
